Powered by the efficient A18 chip and Apple's inaugural in-house cellular modem, the C1, the iPhone 16e ensures swift performance and extended battery life. Designed to integrate seamlessly with Apple Intelligence, the company's personal AI system, it offers users intuitive and privacy-focused assistance.
The device boasts a 48MP Fusion camera equipped with a 2x telephoto lens, enabling high-quality optical zoom for stunning photos and videos. Additionally, the iPhone 16e supports satellite features such as Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messaging, and Find My via satellite, ensuring connectivity in areas lacking cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Available in matte black and white finishes, with a variety of colourful cases for personalization, the iPhone 16e offers storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
Pre-orders commence on Friday, February 21, with official availability starting Friday, February 28. Pricing begins at £599.
The iPhone 16e marks a significant milestone as Apple's first device to feature the proprietary C1 modem, a strategic move to reduce reliance on external suppliers. This model also transitions away from the traditional home button, adopting Face ID technology for enhanced security and user experience.
