The good news is that it’s generally a quick repair at our Hex store in Edinburgh.

For Apple products with fingerprint scanners, if the problem is a connection issue, we can fix it at Hex whilst maintaining your phone’s fingerprint scanner functionality. Otherwise if we have to replace the part and Touch ID functionality will be disabled.

If you still want to use Touch ID then you’ll need to take your device for repair to the Apple Store to ensure your iPhone is restored with corresponding embedded serial numbers and with full fingerprint lock functionality.
